  • Passenger airport opened in 2018, north-west of Istanbul
  • Can accommodate 90 million passengers annually with possibility to expand this to 200 million passengers  
  • Two gigantic terminal buildings with the first one alone providing 1.44 million m² of usable space
  • With six runways, the new airport is set to overtake Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport as the world´s largest airport in the next ten years

Requirements

  • Simultaneous construction of diverse facilities with short lead times
  • Processing of slab area totalling 220,000 m² at heights of up to 17.50 m
  • Realisation of walls and slabs up to 14 m high with a width of up to 1.75 m
  • Work operations carried out on 15,500 m² of platforms at heights of up to 40 m
  • Tight schedule and high demands placed on material quantities
