Global Sourcing Strategy
The Supply Chain Sourcing of the PERI Group contributes to making corporate activities more sustainable by taking its ecological and social responsibilities serious. Here, the Global Sourcing always considers the complete flow of goods and give advice on the improvement of processes and methods as well as the Total Cost of Ownership. For the Global Sourcing at PERI, important guidelines for our daily work are long-term cooperation, the creation of trust, sustainable actions, social responsibility and the respect for every individual. These are also respected in view of the sourcing of raw materials, production materials, indirect materials, and investments.
The Global Sourcing of the PERI Group and its suppliers respect and support the PERI guidelines and are actively involved in their implementation, as a precondition and the basis for a trustful cooperation and a business relationship among partners.
We define purchasing success is as follows:
Ambition
- Establishing a purchasing organization that achieves top results at the highest speed and with maximum flexibility.
- We want to cooperate with our internal customers and suppliers using standardized core and support processes in order to significantly increase efficiency in the areas of Quality (Q), Cost (C) and Supplier Reliability (SR).
Strategy
- Drawing upon a highly qualified global and strategically aligned purchasing organization, we are systematically establishing a network of suppliers, based on a global supplier management system and the ongoing development of strategic partnerships.
Objectives
The objectives of the Supply Chain Sourcing are defined for the individual areas:
- The provision of the required raw and production materials at the right time, at the right quantities, in the defined quality, at the right place, at optimal prices.
- The provision of our internal customers with indirect materials, with minimum effort, in the required quality, at optimal prices.
- The technically and economically optimal sourcing of investment goods while considering the Total Value of Ownership.
- The selection and management of suppliers while considering all factors of the supplier relationship, beyond prices and quality. The supplier value is, among others, defined by the supplier’s innovativeness, exclusivity for PERI and the service quality of the cooperation.
