Citytunnel Malmö, Sweden - The southern entrance area was constructed using the cut-and-cover method for a length of around 1.5 km.
Citytunnel Malmö, Sweden - The variable PERI VARIO GT 24 girder wall formwork could be positioned exactly by means of the formwork carriage.

Internal width: up to 21.00 m
Internal height: 7.20 m to 9.85 m

Requirements

  • maximum watertightness thanks to no construction joints in the area of the bottom plate
  • up to 1.10-m-thick tunnel top slab
  • 4.70-m-wide passageway for site traffic
  • vaulted sections in the external areas
  • 0.60 to 3.15-m-high beams in the centre of the tunnel

Combination consisting of project-specific formwork carriage constructions and rentable PERI system equipment: 2 formwork carriages for the casting segment in advance, two subsequent slab formwork carriages and a VARIO solution for the elliptical reinforced concrete columns along the tunnel centre. Additionally, two formwork carriages for the southern entrance area with two parallel tunnel constructions.
