With its 2030 sustainability program “Building Sustainability,” PERI is pursuing ambitious goals in the three key areas of action: Zero Emissions, Circularity, and Social Responsibility. The report documents concrete progress along the entire value chain – from reducing emissions and developing circular products to promoting social engagement.

“For us, ESG is not something we pursue simply because it is legally required. Sustainable business practices have always been part of who we are and are deeply rooted in our DNA. As a family-owned company, we make decisions with future generations in mind,” says Christian Schwörer, CEO of the PERI Group. “With our guiding principle ‘We support tomorrow.’, we emphasize the contribution PERI aims to make today and in the future toward sustainable construction worldwide.”

In the area of Zero Emissions, PERI continues to consistently advance the electrification of its vehicle fleets. Around 25 percent of forklifts worldwide are already electric. In addition, 21 photovoltaic systems have been installed in 14 countries to date, saving more than 3,000 tons of CO₂ annually. Since 2021, all PERI locations worldwide have been powered by 100 percent green electricity.

Circularity has also been firmly embedded in PERI’s business model for decades: PERI products are designed for durability and reuse. Rental and leasing models, take-back systems, and the use of sustainable materials support a resource-efficient circular economy in the construction industry.

In the area of Social Responsibility, PERI is actively involved worldwide in education, culture, sports, and environmental initiatives. A particular focus is the construction of schools in developing countries, which the company has been continuously driving forward since 2021.

“Sustainability makes us more efficient, innovative, and resilient. At the same time, it strengthens our long-term competitiveness as a company and enables us to make a tangible contribution to sustainable construction,” says Andreas Mayer, Head of Corporate Sustainability. “The Sustainability Report 2025 demonstrates what is possible when colleagues around the world take responsibility together.”

With the current report, PERI is voluntarily aligning itself for the first time with the requirements of the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), thereby creating transparency at an early stage in line with future reporting standards.
