The following is an overview of the images contained in the press set.
EcoVadis assesses companies’ sustainability performance in four areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. PERI improved its performance in all four categories compared with the previous year.
Various initiatives across the entire PERI Group contributed to this progress. These include the further development of environmental and occupational health and safety management systems, more sustainable procurement practices, the calculation of product carbon footprints, and the definition of climate targets for PERI’s own operations and the entire value chain.
Investments at the Weissenhorn Site
In recent years, PERI has also implemented a range of measures at its headquarters in Weissenhorn. These include the new energy-efficient surface coating facility. Other focus areas include the electrification of the company vehicle and forklift fleets, the expansion of photovoltaic systems, and the use of green electricity worldwide.
Sustainability Performance Is Becoming Increasingly Important to Customers
For PERI, the rating is more than an assessment of the company’s own sustainability activities. It provides customers and business partners with independent, internationally recognized evidence of the company’s sustainability performance. This creates transparency and helps them incorporate sustainability criteria into the selection and evaluation of their suppliers. Such credentials are also playing an increasingly important role in tender processes.
“Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor in how we work with our customers. Our ambition is therefore not only to set targets, but to make tangible progress and ensure that this progress is transparent and measurable. The Silver Medal shows that we are on the right track,” says Andreas Mayer, Head of Corporate Sustainability at PERI.
The new school is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. Once finished, it will expand the educational offerings on the Global One Campus and provide young people in Kibera with access to safe and modern learning facilities.
