Freeform Formwork

Precision-made for an individual design
Complex shapes, architectural concrete surface requirements – with economically feasible prefabricated formwork units.
On the construction site, the prefabricated formwork units can be assembled in a similar way as for system formwork.
During the planning phase, the use of system components, e.g. GT 24 girders or VARIOKIT steel walers, is maximized.
The 3D formwork units are built on VARIO basic elements. The individual components can be used for other applications after being dismantled.
These inclined reinforced concrete towers with different cross-sections and varying radii were realized with customized VARIO GT 24 elements.
The south side of this building extends in the form of a radius; at the same time, the reinforced concrete wall on the ground fl oor inclines up to 35° on the inside.

For the construction of complex, multi-curved reinforced concrete components, PERI provides customized freeform formwork. Based on a 3D building model with so-called freeform surfaces, the formwork units are individually produced in the PERI formwork assembly facilities. Assembling the individual elements on the construction site is similar to system formwork. Statically load-bearing elements are usually based on VARIO GT 24 Girder Wall Formwork. Hence, many individual components can be further used after project completion.

Custom manufactured
On the basis of a 3D model, precision manufactured under optimum conditions in the stationary PERI formwork construction facility

Cost-effective realization
Extremely economical with a high proportion of standard system components from the PERI product portfolio

Fast assembly
Easy and simple assembly of prefabricated formwork elements on the construction site – similar to a system formwork

Technical Details

  • For virtually all building shapes that can only be realized with a project-specific formwork
  • High production quality thanks to the assembly under stationary conditions
  • Designed for a permissible fresh concrete pressure in accordance with project requirements
  • Formlining screwed on at the rear for meeting architectural concrete requirements
  • Taking into consideration the site-specififi c boundary conditions for the final assembly
  • Cost-effective realization with a maximum proportion of rentable system components
