Head of Internal Audit*

PERI Group Audit / Ulm-Weißenhorn

Your responsibilities

  • Lead Internal Group Audit’s duties by ensuring annual planning, audit execution, audit reporting and audit follow-up
  • Coordinate, lead and perform individual audits defined in the audit plan as well as ad-hoc reviews
  • Issue all Internal Audit reports ensuring the reports are clear, concise, identify root causes with practical solutions, and ultimately provide value to management
  • Proactively inform senior management of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and/or governance requiring prompt attention
  • Ensure that Internal Audit is performing its work in accordance with established professional and regulatory standards
  • Continuously develop the internal audit function by driving state-of-the-art audit technologies (e.g. data analytics, continuous monitoring)
  • Manage and develop a team of 4 Auditors

Your profile

  • University degree in economics, business administration or equivalent with minimum 4+ years professional experience in Internal Audit and/or Finance/Controlling within a multinational manufacturing company
  • Ability to combine technical expertise with a clear, persuasive and inclusive communication style and the confidence and independence to make sound judgement calls
  • Very strong commercial acumen to ensure that findings and recommendations are constructively used as a valued added service for senior management at both subsidiary and group level
  • Proven leadership skills and high intercultural competency, ideally gained while working abroad
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships with senior Management
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Personal integrity and high degree of confidentiality
  • Fluent in English and/or German and ideally another European language
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%)
