for problem-free construction progress
With the opening of a new playhouse at Kvaesthusbroen by the Copenhagen harbour front, planned for 2008, the Royal Danish Theatre "Det Kongelige Teater" will have succeeded in extending its venue options with the addition of another cultural and architectural highlight. Compared to opera house completed last year, situated in close proximity to the Amalienborg Castle and wellknown Nyhavn dockland area, this unusual building complex has been designed to protrude into the harbour which allows enough space for a well-functioning theatre. The stairway and elevator cores located on the corners of the stage auditorium are connected from a height of 20 metres upwards with reinforced concrete walls which were to be concreted later.
For constructing the wall sections, PERI MULTIPROP towers and MULTIFLEX slab formwork on all sides provided stable and safe working platforms. This allowed TRIO 330 wall formwork to be positioned and aligned for very efficient construction of each section. For further cycles, PERI FB 180 folding platforms proved to be the most economical solution for creating the formwork scaffolding. The folding platforms were delivered completely pre-assembled to the construction site and which ensured quick and problem-free use.
