TRIO Housing cuts shuttering times for concrete wall by half
For the construction of this administration facility in Donaueschingen, the TRIO Housing system could already clearly convince the site crews during the initial use. Using the TRIO Housing 360 version, the threeman formwork crew was able to construct around 27 linear metres of basement wall per day with concreting heights of 4.20 m. An unusual achievement, which was only possible as TRIO Housing requires fewer tie positions compared to conventional panel formwork and, in addition, which can be served by site personnel whilst standing on the ground and from one side only. Without the use of the otherwise standard individual components, such as sleeves and anchor cones, the conical anchor is inserted from the inner side. The integrated fixing points on the opposite-facing formwork allow simple tie installation, also when the formwork is slightly inclined. The formwork system has been designed to handle the full hydrostatic concrete pressure.
Working scaffold is not required. Foldable concreting platforms - firmly connected with the formwork elements - are quickly reached by means of integrated access ladders. The stable ladder cage protection and non-slip platform surface provide safe working conditions resulting in high productivity levels.
The moving procedure is also extremely efficient: lifting gear for attaching the crane slings is permanently fixed to the formwork element and is utilised by personnel standing on the ground. This brings clear time advantages which are already very apparent during calculations done after the first use.
