Upgraded with scaffold components
The centuries-old amphitheatre, not far from the centre of Cagliari, has always been used for the annual cultural festivals.
A solution was sought to realize the full potential of the whole site, as well as to increase the safety for the visitors without detriment to the fabric of the existing building.
Exact levels were taken after PERI had determined the foot print.
Then planning of the structure with PERI UP scaffolding components could be undertaken.
PERI provided a solution with a combination of standard and special components that fulfilled the following requirements:
• A stage with a slope towards the stalls an interchangeable orchestra pit
• Grandstands with 100 mm steps fitted to the oval shape
• Toilets and escape routes beneath the stage and grandstands
• All equipment was to be manhandled
