Raiffeisenbank Office Building, Sofia, Bulgaria
Fast Systems for Walls, Columns and Slabs
Construction of Structural Work Done in Record Time
The new headquarters of the Raiffeisenbank in Sofia is comprised of two building elements joined together resembling a V-shape. Each section contains a basement and four upper storeys.
Originally, a time frame of 90 calendar days was planned for the structural work. This included around 9,000 m² reinforced slabs, approx. 4,200 m² walls and more than 100 reinforced concrete columns with both circular and rectangular cross-sections. However, problems with the foundations at the beginning of the project shortened construction time to only 75 days.
Due to an efficiently-run construction site organisation, strict adherence to the detailed working cycles and the use of the optimised formwork systems for each area, the contractors succeeded in keeping within the very tight schedule.

“With the PERI systems, we could work very quickly. TRIO, for example, needed few individual parts but is, nevertheless, very adaptable. This meant we could comfortably meet the tough deadlines.”
