Ahead of the time schedule with durable and flexible systems
These two identical mirrored office towers rise for 174 m and 40 floors above ground in Sharq, the heart of business in Kuwait City.
Each tower has a typical floor area of around 600 m2. The huge main cores of both towers are been climbed ahead of the slab, which required around 110 CB climbing platforms and BR shaft platforms and more than 3.000 m2 of VARIO GT 24 girder wall formwork for the core walls.
The contractor First United had already a big stock of VARIO wall formwork and climbing formwork from six towers in the project KBT, so the challenge was to use this stock and minimize the additional materials as much as possible. The PERI engineers met these requirements by an adapted and detailed planning of the formwork solution.
