Stone Creek Bridge, Prince George, British Columbia
Rentable VARIOKIT components save time on the bridge project
In April 2010, Jacob Brothers Construction Limited of Surrey B.C., was awarded a $12-million contract to replace the old two-lane Stone Creek Bridge south of Prince George, B.C. with a new, four-lane bridge.
For concrete forming of the 22.75 m wide and 73.00 m long bridge deck, Jacob Brothers is using a formwork consisting of GT 24 formwork girders, SRU steel walers and SLS heavy-duty spindles. The SRU waler and SLS spindles are components of the modular VARIOKIT system which has been developed by PERI to provide an ideal formwork solution for Civil Engineering structures such as tunnels and bridges.
