Versatile for all concrete and steel construction work
The new 660 MW block is an important component of the extensive modernization measures for the Ledvice lignite-fired coal power plant. For construction of the massive structural elements in connection with the transfer of loads at great heights, PERI supplied a comprehensive formwork and scaffolding concept. This took into consideration not only the high static requirements but also ensured that the application of the selected systems was as versatile as possible.
Foundations, walls and columns were formed with TRIO and VARIO GT 24. PERI engineers paid careful attention during their applications planning that the different cross-section dimensions and concreting heights could be formed without any timeconsuming adaption work. This resulted in fast cycle sequences. For the reinforced concrete slabs and beams, the MULTIFLEX girder slab formwork with the GT 24 as main and cross beams were shown to have the best load-bearing capacity as well as being the most cost-effective variant. Especially with large heights, the larger spans that were therefore possible resulted in a material and time-saving support construction.
Lightweight PEP steel props served for forming the standard floors, the high loadbearing system was realised with the modular PERI UP Rosett as birdcage scaffold with a 1.50 m x 1.50 m basic grid. The PERI UP modular system could also be used extremely versatilely for many other applications: for example, as reinforcement and facade scaffolding, as convenient stairway access as well as working platforms for the assembly of the steel construction.
“With this complicated project, we could rely on the technical solutions provided by PERI. With rentable system components, it was possible for us to tackle the wide range of formwork and scaffolding tasks.”
