External facade with high architectural concrete requirements

The 116 m high building features 17,000 m² of office space on its 24 upper floors. With external dimensions of 33.50 m x 33.50 m, the bottom twelve floors are squareshaped. In addition, only half the external facade in each case projects into the top floor, two opposing building edges are thereby inwardly offset by 7 m to 9 m. The complete concrete facade remains visible.

The external walls with increased architectural concrete requirements were formed with VARIO GT 24, doubled externally with suitable formlining. Furthermore, it was possible to also regularly position the tie points in addition to the neat joint arrangement with the help of the girder wall formwork system.

Connected by means of strongbacks and formwork carriage, VARIO external formwork and CB 240 climbing platforms formed the climbing formwork. As a result, both could be moved together as one unit with the crane. For the arrangement of the brackets, the PERI planning took into consideration both the window box-outs and the change in the ground plan half-way up. For construction of the two reinforced concrete cores with stairways and elevator shafts, the VARIO internal formwork on shaft platforms was supported by BR platform beams.
