Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park Bridge, St.Louis, MO, USA
Labor Savings achieved on complicated Bridge Project
The State of Missouri is constructing this $72 million bridge project as part of the extension of State Rte. 364 (Page Ave.) in Maryland Heights, MO. The approximately half-mile long, nine-span, ten-lane bridge spans the southern tip of Creve Coeur Lake.
The bridge is built cast-in-place in a double box section design with a total width of 85 ft (26.05 m). Walter Construction was faced with the task of finding a formwork system that could solve the complicated requirements of this project with a simple approach reducing labor costs.
This is why they chose to go with PERI. PERI´s economical solution enabled Walter to keep their schedule with a minimum of labor. After the first of two pier tables had been completed, the construction time could even be reduced further.
