Slab forming with SKYDECK brings noticeable time-savings
The Kröpeliner Tor Center is located directly in the historical centre of Rostock. Around 40 businesses and 185 car parking slots are accommodated in the four upper and two underground fl oors. In the middle of the complex, a light courtyard has been integrated in order to fl ood the shopping centre with daylight.
For construction of the 36 cm thick strong prestressed concrete slabs, the contractors decided in favour of the SKYDECK drophead. This meant that building progress could be accelerated and crane utilization kept to a minimum. With fast shuttering and striking, as well as the supply of large quantities of materials at short notice, the extremely tight construction schedule could be maintained. Up to 4,500 m² of SKYDECK as well as 8,000 MULTIPROP post shores were in use at peak times.
